Glitch Text Generator

This glitch text generator stacks combining marks on Latin letters so the line looks corrupted, electric, or zalgo-like. You copy the result and paste it. It is still text — a base letter plus marks — not a video effect and not a font file. Keep the string short; long stacks are hard to read and can overflow a field.

Alphabet styles target Latin letters and digits. Effects may add marks or spacing to other characters, and Upside Down reverses the full line.

What is a glitch text generator?

A glitch text generator does not scramble pixels. It attaches Unicode combining marks (diacritics that stack above or below a letter) to the characters you type. The base letter remains; the marks draw around it. That is why copy and paste still works: the clipboard holds a string of code points. This glitch text generator lists several stacked families from the catalog — circuits, lightning, inverse, and others — so you can compare density before you copy. It is a different job from alphabet fonts (letter shape) and from tiny letters (miniature shape).

Combining marks have real limits. Some apps strip them on save. Some phones draw stacks so tall they cover the UI. Screen readers may announce each mark or skip the cluster. We will not invent a platform “ban rate.” Test a short sample in the real field. If the paste collapses to plain letters, the host stripped marks; retry a lighter family from this glitch text generator or use gothic/Fraktur if you wanted a dark look without stacks. Glitch text is also a poor choice for anything someone must type back, such as a code or an address: the extra marks are easy to miss when copying. Keep the burst on this page, and put the facts in plain letters beside it.

How to use the glitch text generator

  1. Type a short word

Enter a name or a few letters, not a paragraph. Each combining mark is an extra character toward bio limits, and tall stacks are unreadable. Latin letters take marks; emoji already carry their own sequences. The glitch text generator above updates live so you can see how dense each family is before you copy.

  2. Pick a density you can still read

Compare glitchy-circuits, lightning, electric, and the lighter inverse or tilded looks. Copy the line that still shows the underlying word. If a style is already an unreadable blot on this page, it will be worse in a 12-pixel nick. Prefer a short burst over a full sentence of zalgo.

  3. Copy, paste, then check the real field

Copy, paste into a bio, caption, or chat, then look at the saved result — not only this preview. On a phone, long-press to paste. If the host strips marks, the line will collapse. Do not paste glitch text into login IDs. If friends report boxes or overlapping UI, shorten the string or pick a lighter family from this glitch text generator.

Glitch text styles you can generate

  1. 1. Glitchy circuits

Dense stacked marks for a short corrupted stamp.

  2. 2. Circuits

A related stacked family when you want a second circuit look.

  3. 3. Electric

    High-energy marks for a one-word title.

  4. 4. Lightning

Another dense stack; keep it to a few letters.

  5. 5. Inverse curse

A weirder inverted cluster for horror-aesthetic names.

  6. 6. Invisible ink

Lighter or trickier marks; always preview before you copy.

  7. 7. Skullies

Decorative stacked look with a darker mood.

  8. 8. Flash mob

Busy marks for a burst, not a paragraph.

  9. 9. Tilded

Tilde-like overlays that stay closer to readable text.

  10. 10. Cross-eyed

Offset marks; test in the destination UI for overflow.

  11. 11. Click-clack

Mechanical stacked texture for a short nick.

  12. 12. The operator

A terminal-ish cluster; keep the base word short.

Where to use a glitch text generator

Bios and display names

A two- or three-letter glitch stamp can sit after a plain name. Entire bios of combining marks are unreadable and may overflow. Instagram and similar bios accept Unicode, but a save can still strip marks. If the saved bio looks plain, the host dropped the stacks — use gothic from the sibling page for a dark look that is still letter-shaped. Keep the searchable name in A–Z.

Captions and comments

One glitched word in a caption can mark a glitch-art post. Do not glitch hashtags; they need plain letters to stay tappable. If the caption preview overlaps the UI, shorten the stack. This glitch text generator is for a burst of texture, not for hiding a message.

Discord and chat

Chat usually keeps combining marks, so a copied line pastes. Some servers filter unusual characters. Nicknames with tall stacks can cover adjacent UI. Prefer a short token. Login stays ASCII. If a screen reader user is in the channel, skip glitch text for anything they must understand.

Horror, music, and aesthetic posts

Glitch text is a mood tool for album titles, event names, and cursed-aesthetic posts. It is not encryption. Anyone can copy the string. Use the glitch text generator for the public stamp, and put dates, links, and required info in plain letters. If the stack is only for a dark vibe, gothic Fraktur on the sibling page is easier to read at nickname size.

Glitch text on phones and apps

Combining marks depend on the font’s mark positioning. iPhone and Android can stack the same sequence at different heights. A line that looks stylish here can overflow a 32-pixel nick. Preview in the real app. Boxes or scattered marks mean missing glyphs or poor mark support, not a failed copy from this glitch text generator.

Assistive technology may announce every mark, skip the cluster, or become noisy. Do not put essential information in glitch text. Keep the readable sentence in plain letters. Rapid visual stacking can also be uncomfortable to look at; keep bursts short.

Some hosts strip combining marks on save; the paste then looks like the original word. That is a filter, not NFKC folding of math bold. Username fields that allow only ASCII reject the paste. Bios, captions, and chat are the realistic targets. Test a short sample before you replace a whole profile. If you wanted letter-shaped dark type instead of stacks, the gothic generator is the better page; this glitch text generator is only for combining marks.
